Fullerton Loses to San Jose State, Finishes Last
Cal State Fullerton lost to San Jose State, 90-80, Sunday to finish 10th in the 10-team Big West Conference.
The Titans finish the season 6-20 overall and 5-13 in the Big West.
Sam Allen scored a career-high 30 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead San Jose State (10-16, 9-9), which won six of its last seven games.
Allen, who made 14 of 17 field- goal attempts, scored 21 of his points in the first half.
Roy Hammonds added 15 points and 14 rebounds for Spartans.
Chuck Overton led the Titans with 25 points, Chris Dade added 22 and Brian Thomas 11.
San Jose State never trailed and twice led by as many as 19 points late in the first half before taking a 46-31 halftime lead. Fullerton came within 10 points or less only three times in the second half.
