Boy, 5, Dies Soon After Being Found in Pool

ANAHEIM — A 5-year-old boy was discovered unconscious on the bottom of his family’s swimming pool Saturday and died a short time later, police said.
Sgt. Phillip Lock said the child had been missing about an hour when family members began searching for him just after noon. They found him in the backyard pool of the home in the 1400 block of South Easy Way, pulled him out and called paramedics, Lock said.
The boy was taken to Western Medical Center in Anaheim, where he was pronounced dead. He was believed to have been in the pool about 15 minutes, police said.
