Pet Photo Fund-Raiser Will Benefit Shelter
In a unique fund-raiser designed to benefit a San Fernando Valley animal shelter, pet owners can have their animals photographed at a mobile studio in North Hollywood on Saturday.
Sponsored by Kmart and Paw Prints Pet Photography, the price is $5 per pet for one 5-by-4-inch color photograph. A maximum of two pets may appear in the same portrait, and reservations are recommended.
Peter Persic, spokesman for the Los Angeles Department of Animal Regulation, said 75% of the proceeds will be donated to a trust fund at the East Valley Animal Care and Control Shelter in North Hollywood. The fund is used to purchase and repair equipment at the shelter, he said.
“We’re just trying to raise as much money as we can,” Persic said.
Photos will be taken beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Kmart parking lot, 13077 Sherman Way, North Hollywood. To make a reservation, call (818) 360-4068.
