BASEBALL / DAILY REPORT : Expos Trade Tarasco to Orioles
The Baltimore Orioles acquired outfielder Tony Tarasco from the Montreal Expos in exchange for outfielder Sherman Obando. Tarasco, 25, batted .249 with 14 home runs and 40 RBIs in 126 games for the Expos last season. Obando, 26, started last season with the Orioles but played in only 16 games, batting .263. . . . Oakland Athletic first baseman Mark McGwire, who hurt his right foot Tuesday in an exhibition, will go to the San Francisco area today for an examination by team orthopedist Jerrald Goldman.
