From Rags to Riches: Tickets to the musical “Sisterella” at Pasadena Playhouse shot up to $55 Tuesday from the previous $35.50. A limited number of back-row balcony seats that had been selling for $13.50 also will now go for $55. A theater spokesman said it’s “extremely likely” the show will extend its run a week, through April 28, but funds provided by the show’s Broadway rights holders, Miramax Films and Tribeca Productions, will end on April 21, so additional income is needed to support the extension. An extension was deemed necessary after a glowing Times review Tuesday sent sales “through the roof,” said the spokesman. He noted that the raised ticket price is still $20 less than the show will cost when it goes to Broadway.
