Investigators are seeking witnesses to an early Friday crash that left two people dead along the Riverside Freeway in Anaheim.

Jason Phillip Jones, 19, and Andre T. Tribble, 20, both of Long Beach, were dead at the scene of the 2 a.m. accident. They were killed when their car hit the center divider, careened and spun into a sound wall, California Highway Patrol investigator Jim Malner said.

The car was sheered in half, with the front section behind the wall and the rear half in the freeway shoulder near the Gilbert Street exit, Malner said.

Jones and Tribble were wearing only the shoulder harnesses of their seat belts, but not their lap belts, Malner said.
