National Crime Victims’ Rights Week activities will be held this year from April 21 through April 27, according to Ventura County Dist. Atty. Michael D. Bradbury.
This year’s theme is “Victims’ Rights: Take a Step to Tip the Scales.”
An information fair is planned for April 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Central Fountain Plaza at the County Government Center.
Various agencies will display information related to domestic violence, child abuse, drunk driving and other topics.
The seventh annual Victims’ Rights Week Walk-a-Thon will be held April 24 at 11:30 a.m., also at the Central Fountain Plaza. The walk will conclude at 1 p.m.
The event will feature remarks from a crime victim and the presentation of awards to several people for exceptional commitment to victims’ rights.
