Three alleged white supremacists pleaded guilty Friday to attempted murder for shooting into a car carrying African American men and an 11-month-old baby, officials said.

Chris Parker, 19, of Lancaster, who fired the shots in the February 1995 attack, was sentenced to 20 years and eight months in prison, Deputy Dist. Atty. Carla Arranaga said. Robert Jones, 21, of Gardena, who was in the back seat of the skinheads’ car, was sentenced to 12 years and eight months in prison.

The driver, Robert Garland Jr. 22, of Lancaster, is to be sentenced May 10.

The shooting, which took place near Antelope Valley High School as the school day was ending, rocked the Antelope Valley and focused attention on white supremacist gangs in the area. The three skinheads--all allegedly members of a white supremacist gang--were waiting for a rival skinhead gang to arrive for a scheduled rumble when a carload of three African Americans and a baby caught their attention, authorities say.

Six shots were fired into the car. One of the three adults was struck across the back of his neck by a bullet. The baby was injured by shattered glass. All recovered.
