Two Los Angeles County residents were arrested Thursday afternoon after about 30 pounds of high-grade marijuana was found in their car and homes, authorities said.

Martin DeJesus Castillo, 32, of Burbank and Angela Ruth Bowyer, 27, of Tujunga were each being held Thursday night in lieu of $10,000 bail at Ventura County Jail.

Castillo and Bowyer were being investigated by Ventura County sheriff’s narcotics investigators, Simi Valley police and the FBI after the agencies received information that the pair were allegedly selling large quantities of marijuana in the east end of Ventura County.

Surveillance units detained Castillo and Bowyer about 5:30 p.m. Thursday after seeing them meet with a third, unidentified person in the parking lot of a restaurant on Yosemite Avenue near the Simi Valley Freeway in Simi Valley, authorities said.

The pair were arrested after about 20 pounds of high-quality marijuana was found in Castillo’s car, authorities said. A search of Castillo’s and Bowyer’s residences turned up another 10 pounds of marijuana, authorities said.
