Prep baseball--The La Quinta High baseball team had won 37 consecutive Garden Grove League games before losing to Bolsa Grande Tuesday. Because of incorrect information supplied to The Times, the length of the streak was wrong in Tuesday’s editions.

In the Arrowhead League:

Southern California Christian 10, Riverside Sherman Indian 8--Les Allen had two RBIs, giving him a school-record 40 for the season, for visiting SCC (15-6, 9-0), which clinched its second consecutive league title.

In the Empire League:

Katella 5, Cypress 3--Joe Fraser struck out 14 and allowed two earned runs and Drake Gustafson homered in the fourth inning for visiting Katella (19-6, 11-3), ranked fourth in the county. Fifth-ranked Cypress is 19-5, 11-3.

Kennedy 14, Century 0--George Carralejo broke a Kennedy school record striking out 15 in seven innings. The previous record was 13, held by four pitchers. Kennedy is 11-14, 3-11.

In the Garden Grove League:

Bolsa Grande 9, La Quinta 8--Alex Navarro had three hits and three RBIs to help host Bolsa Grande (16-5-1, 8-3) snap La Quinta’s league winning streak at 33. It was Bolsa Grande’s first victory over La Quinta (20-6, 10-1) since 1984.

In the Golden West League:

Servite 9, Ocean View 3--Servite clinched the outright league championship with the victory. Alvan Loreto hit a three-run triple in the sixth to cap a seven-run inning for Servite (18-7, 3-6).

In the Sea View League:

El Toro 5, Woodbridge 0--Darrin MacLeod pitched a two-hit shutout as sixth-ranked El Toro (18-6-1, 10-3-1) clinched at least a tie for the Sea View League title.

Irvine 5, Corona del Mar 3--Chad Poulson hit a three-run home run in the first, the Vaqueros added two runs in the seventh, and Brian Krill pitched a complete game for visiting Irvine (14-9-1, 9-4-1).

In the Sunset League:

Fountain Valley 6, Huntington Beach 4--Kevin Buford had a double, home run, three runs scored and four RBIs for Fountain Valley (19-6, 11-3). With the victory, the third-ranked Barons clinch the Sunset League title.
