In the Arrowhead League:

Southern California Christian 16, La Sierra Academy 0--Billy Campbell pitched a no-hitter with seven strikeouts for host SCC (17-6, 10-0).

In the Century League:

Canyon 2, Foothill 1--Jeff Leuenberger gave up six hits, three walks and struck out 10 for eighth-ranked Canyon (22-3, 14-1). Bobby Fry scored on Brandon Smith’s sacrifice fly in the fifth with the eventual winning run.

In the Freeway League

Sonora 10, Fullerton 1--Bubba Bondurant and Ryan Owens each had three hits and three RBIs for seventh-ranked Sonora (20-4-1, 12-3).

Troy 5, Buena Park 4--Senior Chad Elliott played all nine positions and picked up the first save of his career for Troy (9-15-2, 3-10-2). Elliott played each outfield position in the first inning. He had only two defensive opportunities, catching a line drive while at shortstop and throwing out a batter while playing second base. Elliott, who is left-handed, went one for three, stole a base and scored a run.

In the Garden Grove League:

La Quinta 2, Pacifica 1--Todd Butt hit a two-out single to score Maury Aldrop from second with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh for host La Quinta (21-6, 11-1). Winning pitcher Tom Clark (10-3) gave up six hits and two walks.

In the Sea View League:

Irvine 11, Corona del Mar 4--James Ackerman, who came in during the third inning for Irvine, retired the final 11 batters. Irvine is tied for first with El Toro.

In the Pacific Coast League:

University 7, Laguna Hills 6--Pitch-hitter Mike Caldarone drove in the winning run with two outs to cap a four-run seventh inning. University finished in a tie for second place with Costa Mesa but the Trojans will be the league’s second-place representative because they beat Costa Mesa twice during league play.

In the Sunset League:

Esperanza 25, Edison 2--David Nick had a grand slam and Anthony Colacion had two hits and three RBIs for second-place Esperanza (14-11, 10-5). Edison finished fourth in league at 6-9.
