STANTON — Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the fatal shooting of a 36-year-old man in his home as a homicide, police said Wednesday.
The body of Robert Larson was found in his two-bedroom home on Fern Avenue about 10 p.m. Tuesday, after a family member called to report a suicide attempt, police said. But after examining evidence at the scene, including a gun, detectives decided to investigate Larson’s death as a homicide, Sheriff’s Lt. Ron Wilkerson said. Authorities did not find a suicide note.
Deputies cited an ongoing investigation and declined to release further details about the case.
