Business Group Plans a Festival of Food

Organizers of “Taste of Anaheim” say they expect 1,000 to 2,000 people to turn out for a food festival that they hope to make an annual event.

The Greater Anaheim Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the tasting party from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Pond.

Two dozen local restaurants will serve their food specialties, including regional American cuisine and dishes native to Brazil, France, Germany, Greece, Italy and Mexico.

The event also will feature Latin American music, a jazz band, door prizes, raffle drawings and a no-host bar.

Tickets for “Taste of Anaheim” are $15 for those 13 and older, and $7.50 for children 3 to 12 years old. Children under 3 will be admitted for free. Food tastings are included with the price of admission. Parking at the Pond is $6.
