Maria Nieves-Garcia failed to show for her scheduled women’s bout against Lucia Rijker because of problems at the Mexican-U.S. border. Although promoters of the fight were assured Thursday night those problems would be cleared up, they didn’t hear from Nieves-Garcia again.

Nieves-Garcia, who is from Mexico City, had split her two professional decisions.
