Intersection Targeted for Added Enforcement

The intersection of Lynn and Gainsborough roads in Thousand Oaks will be targeted this week by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department in an effort to reduce traffic accidents and boost public safety.

The Sheriff’s Department, which patrols Thousand Oaks, has noted a high number of accidents at the intersection due to drivers’ high speeds or failure to obey traffic laws, said Sgt. Ken Bailey.

From Sunday through Saturday , deputies in the traffic bureau will focus attention on the intersection, citing all motorists who are speeding or failing to obey posted traffic signs, Bailey said.
