Striped Bass Are Biting Hard at Silverwood Lake

The most voracious of all Southland freshwater game fish--striped bass--have become active at all three Southland’s striper fisheries, but nowhere are the fish biting as they are at Silverwood Lake.

Cliff Whitehead of Apple Valley, a regular at the San Bernardino County reservoir, had one of the most impressive stringers: two fish totaling 48 pounds, topped by a 31.6-pounder.
