New Parking Fees OKd for Airport
Ventura County supervisors have approved a new parking fee schedule for Oxnard Airport.
Motorists now get four hours of free parking and are charged $3 for every hour after that, said Rodney Murphy, county director of airports.
Under the new system approved Tuesday, motorists will still not have to pay for the first four hours. Anyone using the lot four to six hours will pay $1, six to 10 hours $2, and those using the lot more than 10 hours would pay $3. Daily rates are also $3.
Although the change is not expected to bring in additional revenues, Murphy said the new fee schedule is more equitable.
