Amparo S. Castelan; 66-Year County Resident
Amparo S. Castelan, 71, of Oxnard, a 66-year county resident, has died.
Castelan was born July 1, 1924, in El Paso. She had been a homemaker for 53 years.
She is survived by her husband, Ernesto Castelan; sons Enrique Castelan of Port Hueneme, Anthony Castelan of Camarillo, and Ernesto Castelan Jr., Roberto Adame and Luis Castelan, all of Oxnard; daughters Guadalupe Rodriguez of Denver and Margarita Medina of Oxnard; brothers Manuel, Alberto and Jose Santiago, all of Oxnard, and a sister, Margarita Cardenas of Oxnard.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday in the Garcia Mortuary Chapel, Oxnard. A funeral Mass will be said at 9 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Oxnard. Interment will follow at the Santa Clara Cemetery in Oxnard.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Christ the King Church, Oxnard, for the church’s restoration project.
