Fireworks Show Sparks Brush Fire

COSTA MESA — A fireworks show hosted by the Fairview Developmental Center touched off a brush fire Tuesday near the 11th hole of the adjacent Costa Mesa Golf Course, fire officials said.
Five fire units responded to the blaze at the course just west of the facility at 2501 Harbor Blvd., where a fireworks show began shortly after 9 p.m., according to a fire dispatcher.
No damage estimates or acreage damage totals were available Tuesday evening.
