Natural Gas Refueling Station to Open

Thousand Oaks, the Southern California Gas Co. and the Ventura County Air Pollution Control District will unveil Thousand Oaks’ first city-sponsored natural gas refueling station Thursday.
The station, which will be open to the public, is a public-private partnership designed to help improve air quality. It will operate at the Thousand Oaks Municipal Service Center, 1993 Rancho Conejo Blvd.
The opening ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. Mayor Andy Fox, Ventura County Supervisors Frank Schillo, John K. Flynn and Judy Mikels, Ventura County Air Pollution Control Officer Dick Baldwin and representatives of the Southern California Gas Co. are expected to be on hand.
