Cal State Fullerton Softball Program Picks Up Hart

Nikki Hart, a Times Orange County all-county softball player at El Dorado in 1995, said Wednesday she will attend Cal State Fullerton next season.
Hart, a starting second baseman at Oregon State in 1996, was a Pacific 10 Conference honorable mention player.
Hart is expected to replace Chris Zboril, an All-American her junior year who batted .310 last year and hit 11 home runs. Fullerton Coach Judi Garman said Hart will be eligible to play immediately.
Hart led off, batted .269, scored a team-high 24 runs and had 12 runs batted in--the team’s second-best total. She was the Beavers’ defensive player of the year.
