A Hot Week Ends on a Cooler Note

Share

After a week in which the San Fernando Valley had some sizzling afternoons, a cooling trend that has kept temperatures actually 5 to 10 degrees below normal will continue through the weekend, said Curtis Brack, a meteorologist with WeatherData, a company that provides The Times with weather information.

“We have an unusual marine layer keeping temperatures below normal,” Brack said Friday.

Normal highs for this time of year are in the mid- to high 90s, he said. Friday, however, the mercury stayed in the mid-80s to low 90s for most areas.

The cool spot in the Valley was Burbank, at 86 degrees. At 95, Woodland Hills was the Valley’s hot spot.
