HEAD Politics Remains High on the TV Agenda

President Clinton is expected to respond to the harsh criticism from the Republican Party this week when he gives an exclusive interview to Dan Rather on “60 Minutes,” Sunday at 7 p.m. on Channel 2.

And speaking of Republicans, A&E;’s popular “Biography” series offers a profile of Bob Dole’s running mate, Jack Kemp, tonight at 5 and 9. Among those interviewed are the former football star’s brother Tom and Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott.

Back in the Beltway, “The Kennedy Center 25th Anniversary Celebration,” airing Sunday at 7:30 p.m. on Channel 28, is an all-star salute to the performing arts. Faith Prince, Hinton Battle and Colm Wilkinson will perform tunes from Broadway musicals that got their starts at the Kennedy Center. Also: a tribute to women in jazz.
