Shaun King threw two touchdown passes at Cincinnati and Tulane used a balanced offense and a smothering defense to beat the Bearcats, 34-14, in the first Conference USA football game.

Nebraska linebacker Terrell Farley has been indefinitely suspended from the top-ranked football team after being arrested on suspicion of drunken driving early Friday morning. “We will gather more information before making a final determination as to what we will do in Terrell’s case,” Cornhusker Coach Tom Osborne said in a statement. . . . Running back Danyell Ferguson and receiver Yatil Green have been suspended for 11th-ranked Miami’s opener today at Memphis.
