Sea View Medical Group Joins UniHealth Affiliate
Sea View Medical Group in Oxnard has joined UniHealth affiliate Huntington Provider Group, California’s largest independent physician association with about 300,000 patients.
The alliance brings 27,000 more patients under the HPG umbrella, officials said. HPG already was providing services to 14,000 patients in Ventura County.
Staffed by 33 employees, Sea View has 80 primary-care physicians and more than 200 specialists. It works with four urgent care centers and uses all of the major hospitals in the county.
Sea View contracts with several health plans and serves the communities of Ventura, Camarillo, Oxnard and Santa Paula. It has an extensive health education program, including weight management, stress reduction and maternity classes.
The county also has another UniHealth affiliate, Buenaventura Medical Group, which serves more than 50,000 patients through offices in Ventura, Oxnard and Camarillo.
