City Council, Mayoral Candidates to Debate
Candidates in Moorpark’s City Council and mayoral races will have at least one opportunity to debate each other before the Nov. 5 election.
The Moorpark Woman’s Fortnightly Club will sponsor two public forums at City Hall on Oct. 8. The discussions, one for council candidates and one for mayoral candidates, will be conducted by a moderator and will include opportunities to submit written questions to the candidates.
The hourlong forums will begin at 7 p.m. in the City Council chambers.
The Moorpark Chamber of Commerce may also hold its own forum and is considering hosting a debate for the city’s five school board candidates. The chamber has not yet set a date for its debates.
