Historical Societies Group Honors Docent
Clair Crane of Ventura received the “Coke Wood Award” at the annual meeting of the Conference of California Historical Societies in Lancaster.
Recipients are honored for their contributions to the society over a number of years.
Crane has organized and worked in historical societies in Ventura County and the Los Angeles area for many years and has been a representative to the historical societies’ conference for Ventura County since shortly after its inception in 1953.
Crane is a longtime docent at the Ventura County Museum of History and Art.
