OUTLOOK

When the Dana Hills athletic department brought in Scott Orloff last spring to replace Coach Trace Deneke, the school showed it meant business. Dana Hills was 2-18 in the past two seasons and if anyone can turn that around, it’s Orloff. He spent the past three years working wonders at Santa Ana Valley. He led the Falcons to their first Century League title in 18 years last season and they reached the Southern Section Division V playoffs for the first time in 17 years. “We’re teaching the kids not to take a back seat to anybody. We’re going to stand up and fight,” Orloff said. Anstead returns after sustaining a season-ending injury in the first game. Page transferred from Santa Ana Valley, where he was a reserve last season. Anstead and Page will join Peraza, a second-team all-league selection last year, in what could be a surprising group of running backs.
