Man, 20, Accused of Sex With Minors
A Simi Valley man is scheduled to appear in court this afternoon to face charges that he unlawfully had sex with at least four minors.
Dominic Cruz, 20, was arrested after police conducting an unannounced probation search last week caught him in bed with a 17-year-old girl.
Police have also tracked down three other young women, including one girl who is 14 years old, who said they had sex with Cruz, according to Simi Valley Police Sgt. Bob Gardener.
One of the women Cruz allegedly had sex with is pregnant, Gardener said, and two others have had abortions.
“We’re not saying these were not consensual,” he said. “But this is unlawful sex with a minor and he could get state prison time.”
Cruz’s arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. today. He is being held at the Ventura County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
