Man Found Stabbed at Costa Mesa Gas Station
A man was stabbed in the chest and arm and left crawling at a gas station on Newport Boulevard late Saturday, police said.
Costa Mesa Sgt. Tom Winter said that shortly before 9 p.m., someone at the Arco station at 2021 Newport Blvd. called police and said “somebody was crawling at the gas station and there was blood.”
The officers found the man and he was taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, where he was being evaluated late Saturday, Winter said. Witnesses told police that shortly after the stabbing, about 10 people sped out of the station in a van and a 1970s-era American car.
The victim’s identity was not available.
