Ex-Linebacker Sues Washington

Saying his scholarship was taken away because of a back injury, former Washington linebacker Chad Wright is suing the university and Coach Jim Lambright for unspecified damages in King County Superior Court.

Wright had back surgery in July and was told by doctors that he will never play again.

The school had no comment.

Starting defensive tackle Gaylon Hyder and quarterback Jeff Dover were put on indefinite suspension by Texas Christian along with quarterbacks Kevin Colon and Derek Canine for violation of team policy, said Coach Pat Sullivan, who did not elaborate on their violations.
