Up With People Cast Seeks Host Families

Up With People, a cultural organization formed more than 30 years ago to build understanding among the people of the world, will perform Oct. 24 at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center.
Host families for the 135 cast members are needed Oct. 18 to 25 to provide a few meals, limited transportation and a place to sleep. Each host family will receive two complimentary tickets to the performance.
After the show, the cast and crew will be on hand to meet with people ages 17 to 26 who are interested in being part of a future Up With People cast.
Tickets for the performance, which begins at 7:30 p.m., are $14.75 for adults, $9.50 for students and seniors and are available through Ticketmaster.
