Opportunity to Volunteer
Southern California Counseling Center, 5615 W. Pico Blvd., Los Angeles, has openings for volunteers interested in becoming lay counselors. Following a screening process, volunteers take an intensive training program and work eight to 10 hours per week during days, evenings or weekends.
Volunteer counselors work with individuals, couples and families. Those who speak both English and Spanish are encouraged to apply. Orientation tours are given at noon the first and third Tuesday of every month. For information, call Ken Olfson at (213) 937-1344.
