The technology of the not-so-distant past will be put to use at the 31st annual Threshing Bee, Antique Engine & Tractor Show taking place the next two weekends. The show will be held at the 40-acre Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum, which just recently renewed its lease for 50 more years.
Train rides are offered, along with demonstrations of blacksmith and wheelwright shops, gristmills, sawmills and a country kitchen. The collection of machinery, photographs and agriculture focuses on the years from 1849 to 1950.
There are also vintage car exhibits, arts and crafts, music and games. A tractor and machinery parade takes place at 1 p.m. each day.
