Local Artists Featured in Juried Exhibit

The city of Newport Beach will showcase the work of local artists in its Fall 1996 Juried Art Exhibit.
Newport Beach residents and business owners who are interested in competing for the $400 grand prize must bring their original artwork to the West Newport Beach Community Center at 9 a.m. Oct. 26. The center is at 883 W. 15th St.
Works in all media and subject matter may be submitted, but they must be entered by their maker and must have been completed within the last three years. The work will be judged by Rancho Santiago College art historian Gene Isaacson and Coastline College art instructor Christine Sullivan.
Artists may submit up to three entries for a $10 fee. The winning pieces will be displayed at the Newport Beach City Hall Gallery from Nov. 7 to Jan. 6.
