Police Seeking Man Who Attacked Jogger
Police are searching for a man who attacked a jogger as she was running in the area of Rose and Vesuvius drives, authorities said Friday.
The man grabbed the jogger from behind about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday and dragged her into an orange grove, where he tried to sexually assault her, Police Det. Susan Hanna said. The woman “was able to scare the suspect,” who ran west into the orange groves, Hanna said.
Investigators described the suspect as white, about 6 feet 2 and from 25 to 30 years old. He has a medium build with short and slightly curly brown hair, detectives said. At the time of the attack, he was wearing a dark jacket and green pleated pants.
Authorities ask anyone with information about the crime to call (714) 990-7612.
