Tustin’s DeShaun Foster ran for 197 yards and three touchdowns and Greg Carnal added 142 yards and three scores on only four carries to lead the 10th-ranked Tillers to a 67-26 rout of Westminster in a Golden West League opener Friday at Tustin High.

Westminster appeared to be ready for the Tillers as the Lions (1-5, 0-1 in league) scored on their opening drive on a 25-yard pass from Shaun Spradling to Erick Arthur. The touchdown was the first points allowed by Tustin in the opening quarter this season.

But Tustin answered on the first play of its opening possession when Brandon Lambert ran 65 yards for a score. Foster ran for the two-point conversion and an 8-7 lead.

“We want to score every time we get the ball,” said Tustin Coach Myron Miller, who saw his team score on nine of 10 possessions.
