Woman Hospitalized After Bus Hits Her
A 47-year-old woman was in critical condition Tuesday after she stepped in front of an Orange County Transportation Authority bus on Harbor Boulevard, police said.
Linda Baker, described by police as a transient, suffered a fractured skull and pelvis after she walked into the street and was struck by the bus at 7:02 a.m. near the intersection of 19th Street and Harbor Boulevard, said Lt. John FitzPatrick of the Costa Mesa Police Department.
Baker was taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana.
The bus driver, who was heading through a green light, was not cited by police.
