Defensive coordinator Jerome Souers is serving as interim coach while Dennehy recovers.

Dennehy might be in the hospital for a week.

Among the wins the Panthers forfeited was a 49-7 nonconference victory over the Kingsmen on Oct. 12 at Cal Lutheran.

The Panthers’ leading rusher, Darnell Morgan, and Malcolm King, a defensive back, were playing their fifth seasons of college football before Chapman declared them ineligible last week.

HONORS Week that was: Glendale College’s Aryn Hart, Rocky Barbaro and Marlon Galloway, and Valley’s Marcus Harvey and Damion Thompson were selected football players of the week in the Western State Conference.

Hart completed seven of 14 passes for 248 yards and four touchdowns in the Vaqueros’ 49-7 victory at Ventura.

Barbaro, a sophomore tight end, had four receptions for 126 yards and three touchdowns.

Galloway, a freshman linebacker, had eight tackles and one sack.

Harvey had 136 yards in 11 carries and two touchdowns in Valley’s 45-0 victory at Harbor.

Thompson, a freshman linebacker from Kennedy High, had two tackles, three assists and one interception.
