Trick-or-Treater Accidentally Shot in Chest With Nail Gun
A 10-year-old boy was accidentally shot in the chest with a nail gun Thursday night while trick-or-treating with his mother and friends in the North Hills area of the San Fernando Valley, police said.
Details of how the accident occurred were not immediately available.
The boy’s mother pulled out the nearly 2-inch nail and the boy was taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills. Officials said the boy, who was not immediately identified, was expected to recover.
