Yankees Had to Beat More Than the Braves
After I saw New York throw that huge ticker-tape parade for the Yankees, I realized one thing: L.A. fans suck! What do you think it would take for 3 1/2 million fans to get off their butts and show support for their local sports team? It simply wouldn’t happen. You could offer free beer and you still couldn’t draw as many fans as there were in New York for Tuesday’s parade. Even if you did draw a crowd that large, they would show up an hour late and leave before the parade was over; that’s the L.A. way! Until we support our sports teams as a whole, we will always be a second-rate sports town.
