King update--Following victories at Toronto and Hartford and a tie at Ottawa, the Kings can complete their first undefeated trip of more than two games since a 2-0-2 trip in January of 1995. “Probably our worst game was the second or third period at Ottawa [in a 2-2 tie] when we stopped working a little bit,” Coach Larry Robinson said. “It would be a shame to come in and not play well [tonight].” Forward Craig Johnson (groin strain) didn’t skate Sunday and is questionable. Robinson said winger Kai Nurminen will play but Brent Grieve will sit out. Stephane Fiset, who has given up only four goals in his last three starts, will start in goal. He’s 7-5-1 against Boston in his career.

Bruin update--A 4-2 loss to the New York Rangers on Saturday left them 1-3-1 in their last five games, all played without Ray Bourque (bruised right shoulder). The Bruins are only 1-4-2 at home, the first time since the 1962-63 season they have had only one victory in their first seven home games. Adam Oates, who centers for Steve Heinze and Ted Donato on the top line, leads Boston in scoring with five goals and 12 points. Former King Rick Tocchet is third with six goals and 10 points. Bill Ranford (4-3-2, 3.04 goals-against average) will start in goal.
