Verdugo Hills 30, Belmont 7--The Dons (5-4, 4-2) capitalized on four second-half turnovers to pull away from the Sentinels (2-7, 2-4) in the fourth quarter at Belmont.

Jerry Brehme intercepted a Willie Oceguera pass late in the third quarter and returned it 32 yards to the Belmont nine-yard line.

Sean Standley scored on the next play to break a 7-7 tie and put the Dons ahead for good. The Dons scored 16 more unanswered points in the fourth quarter.

Standley finished with 163 yards in 27 carries and added a seven-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

Dons quarterback Ethan Slimak completed eight of 18 for 113 yards and tossed touchdown passes of 21 and 12 yards to Charlie Coronado (four catches, 55 yards).
