In men’s tennis:
Kim and Breen advance--Kevin Kim and Matt Breen of UCLA each advanced to the semifinals of the Rolex/ITA Southern California Men’s Tennis Regionals at UC Irvine Thursday.
Fourth-seeded Kim, a Sunny Hills graduate, advanced by defeating teammate Brandon Kramer, 6-2, 6-1, and will play top-seeded Simon Asplin of Pepperdine in today’s semifinal.
Breen, seeded sixth, upset third-seeded Michael Jessup of Pepperdine, 6-3, 7-5. Breen will face Pepperdine’s Brad Sceney in the other semifinal.
