Harbor Village Concert * Henry Franklin and the Crew will present a jazz concert from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Ventura Harbor Village, off of Spinnaker Drive, Ventura. The concert is the first in a series of weekend shows at the village. There will be western, jazz and rhythm and blues from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday, and rhythm and blues from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Sendup of Dickens * The Magnificent Moorpark Melodrama and Vaudeville Co. will present “A Dickens Of a Holiday (Or: We Got Scrooged)” at 8 p.m. at 45 E. High St. The show, which combines the traditional holiday tale of Ebenezer Scrooge with a ghost named Elvis, the Brady Bunch and other television characters, will run Thursday to Sunday through Dec. 22. $12 general. Dudley House Party * The historical Dudley House will host a preview party for its holiday boutique from 7 to 9 p.m. at the corner of Ashwood Avenue and Loma Vista Road. There will be entertainment and refreshments. Victorian dress is encouraged. The boutique will be open Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 6-8 and Dec. 13-15. Proceeds from the sale of crafts and collectibles will go toward the restoration of the Victorian house and museum. $7.50 for the party. Information: 642-7664 or 643-4217.

St. Nick at the Mall * Santa Claus will arrive at the west entrance of the Buenaventura Mall at 10 a.m., at Mills Road and Main Street, Ventura. The Volunteers of the Dixieland Fire Brigade will escort Santa to the mall on an antique firetruck. Santa will be joined by Mr. Blue the clown. Free. Information: 642-5530 or 642-8537.

Museum Benefit * The Oxnard High School Performing Arts Center will host a benefit performance of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” at 8 p.m. at 3400 W. Gonzalez Road. The show will continue Saturday and Dec. 6-7 at 8 p.m., and Saturday and Dec. 7-8 at 2 p.m., with proceeds benefiting the Gull Wings Children’s Museum. $10 general, $8 seniors and students, $5 children 2-12. Art Exhibit * Natalie’s Fine Threads will hold a reception for the San Buenaventura Artists’ Union Group Show from 4 to 7 p.m. at 596 E. Main St., Ventura. The exhibit of paintings, sculptures and other mixed media will be on display at the store through Dec. 31. Free. Information: 648-4331.

Santa at The Oaks * The Thousand Oaks High School band will lead Santa into the upper level of The Oaks mall at 9:30 a.m. at 222 W. Hillcrest Drive. The California Dance Theater will add to the holiday festivities with selections from “The Nutcracker” from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the mall’s Center Court. Free. Information: 497-4636.

Basketball Tournament * Ventura College will host the Kiwanis Mens Basketball Tournament from 2 to 9:30 p.m. in the main gym at 4667 Telegraph Road. $5 general, $3 seniors and students.
