* HANCOCK(9-1) vs. VALLEY (9-1)

Western State Bowl, at Valley, 7 p.m.

Hancock’s top-rated defense in the state goes against Valley’s high-octane run-and-shoot offense. The Bulldogs, who finished second in the Western State Conference’s Northern Division behind Bakersfield, allow 229.3 yards per game. Valley, two-time WSC Southern Division champion, averages 460.9 yards per game. * MOORPARK (8-2) vs. CERRITOS (8-2)

Strawberry Bowl, at Cerritos, 7 p.m.

This is a rematch of the 1994 game and Moorpark hopes it will have a different ending. Cerritos dismantled the Raiders, 55-9, two years ago. Moorpark, which finished the regular season ranked 12th in the state, took second place behind Valley in the WSC’s Southern Division. The Raiders were third in the state in defense, allowing 247.1 yards per game. The Raiders are without quarterback Taj Lewis, who is recovering from a kidney infection, so freshman George Jones will start. Cerritos, ranked 13th in the state, finished third in the Mission Conference’s Northern Division. Corey Kelley had 1,037 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns for the Falcons.
