The St. Louis Blues defeated the Edmonton Oilers, 3-2, Sunday night at Edmonton. That’s all that mattered. The short-lived feud between Coach Mike Keenan and star wing Brett Hull was no longer an issue as far as the two were concerned.

“It’s over, there’s nothing to deal with anymore,” said Hull, who scored the game-winning goal at 10:04 of the third period. “There’s no sense in even talking about it.”

Keenan scratched Hull from the lineup for Friday’s game at Colorado. Hull had criticized Keenan after the Blues suffered two shutout losses, and Keenan fired back by banishing his top goal scorer to the press box.

The Blues beat the Avalanche, then picked up their second consecutive victory when Hull took a pass from Peter Zezel and beat Edmonton goalie Curtis Joseph. Hull has scored 33 goals in 33 games against the Oilers.

Florida 1, Dallas 1--The Panthers remained unbeaten (6-0-3) against Western teams with the tie at home. Mike Hough scored late in the first period for the Panthers. Greg Adams scored early in the third period for Dallas.

“It wasn’t a real exciting one to watch, I’ll tell you that,” Panther Coach Doug MacLean said. “But it’s good to get a point.”
