Not many teams have defeated the Houston Rockets and the Chicago Bulls in the same season, let alone in consecutive home games.

The Toronto Raptors did just that during a seven-day period.

Taking advantage of costly technical fouls against Dennis Rodman and Michael Jordan, the Raptors handed the Bulls their second consecutive loss, 97-89, Sunday before 33,385 fans in Toronto.

Damon Stoudamire had 31 points and 13 assists and Popeye Jones had 12 points and 18 rebounds for the Raptors, who won their fourth in a row at home.

Scottie Pippen led the Bulls with 28 points, but Jordan scored 13 points on five-of-17 shooting. Jordan was held scoreless in the second half despite playing the entire fourth quarter.

In their last home game on Dec. 2, Toronto handed the Rockets their second loss, 100-89, before embarking on a three-game road trip.

Phoenix 106, Indiana 93--The Suns, who lost their first 13 games, never trailed in winning their third game in a row and ending the Pacers’ club-record road winning streak at five games.

Wesley Person made six three-point shots and finished with 21 points for the Suns.

Person made seven of 13 shots, including six of nine from three-point range. The Suns made a season-high 10 three-point shots.

Sacramento 91, Orlando 84--Tyus Edney returned to the starting lineup and had 18 points and seven assists as the Kings led from the start in Sacramento.

The Kings scored the game’s first six points, led 28-20 after one quarter and extended their lead to 49-33 by halftime.

Edney, making only his second start of the season, scored eight points and had three assists in the first quarter.

Milwaukee 100, Boston 87--Glenn Robinson left the game in the second quarter at Milwaukee because of an ankle sprain, but Vin Baker picked up the slack and scored 24 points for the Bucks.

Robinson had scored a career-high 44 points Saturday night at Washington. Replacement Johnny Newman scored nine of his 15 points in the fourth quarter to help fend off the Celtics.

Golden State 114, San Antonio 88--Joe Smith turned aggressive in the second half, and that led to a big third quarter for the Warriors at San Jose.

Smith scored 12 of his game-high 24 points, grabbed six of his seven rebounds and blocked a shot in the third quarter.

Latrell Sprewell added 23 points and seven rebounds for the Warriors, who ended a two-game losing streak and handed the Spurs their 10th loss in 11 games.
