Share

Arc-Ventura County presented its annual Bateman Award--honoring an outstanding employee--to David Lerma of Oxnard.

Lerma has worked for the Camarillo-based nonprofit organization since 1978 and is currently a trainer at its Camarillo Work Activity Center. Lerma has also worked at the Oxnard and Simi Valley program sites and is distinguished for his many hours spent working at Arc special activities and events.

The award is a memorial tribute to Richard M. Bateman, an Arc job counselor killed in 1993 during a shooting at the Employment Development Department in Oxnard.
