BUFFALO (9-5) at MIAMI (6-8)
Channel 7, 6 p.m.
The Dolphins were supposed to be challenging for AFC home-field advantage in the playoffs under Coach Jimmy Johnson, but Miami has failed to match Johnson’s boasting. Johnson guaranteed a victory over the Giants last week, and lost. The Bills haven’t been healthy, and instead of playing games like this in a blizzard in Buffalo, they have to travel to Miami.
--Say what: Buffalo has the league’s second-best pass defense, and Miami quarterback Dan Marino is coming off back-to-back poor performances.
--Player to watch: Rookie running back Karim Abdul-Jabbar needs 112 yards to become fourth player in Dolphin history to reach the 1,000-yard mark.
--Finally: Buffalo has won 14 of the last 19 against the Dolphins.
